Aid deadline is Nov. 30 for wildfire-destroyed fences in Texas

The Texas wildfires destroyed over 6,200 miles of fencing across Central Texas. The deadline to receive aid for the reconstruction of these fences has been prolonged until November 30. Ranchers are able to apply for aid through the STAR fund.

The STAR fund is funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture. People interested in receiving help for their damaged fences must fill out an agricultural application. Those who are approved for the aid can receive a voucher up to $500 to use for new fencing supplies.

The extended deadline was put in place to help ranchers and farmers rebuild their fences and lives.
