Dallas homeowner given citations from City for not keeping home up to code

A woman that has lived in her Dallas area home for nearly 20 years is now saying that she has received 11 citations since the Jubilee Park Community Center opened.

The City of Dallas is suing the woman for not bringing her home up to city code. The violations say that the there were cracks and holes, poorly maintained electrical wiring and bent fencing.

The woman feels that the city is picking on her because they want her home to extend the community center. The City of Dallas is asking for $1,000 per violation.
