Fencing improvement to be made to Texas airport

In Aransas County, nearly $715,000 worth of funds have been approved by the Texas Transportation Commission to make airport improvements including an engineered design for new fencing.

The application for this was requested by the Airport manager for the purpose of building a new fence around the airport. The area has had an increasing number of game such as deer, coyote, rabbits, and raccoons. The request was made because the mixture of wildlife and aircrafts is unsafe.
