Fencing up for construction, blocking student walkways

Renovations that are being made to the University of Houston power plant have caused construction fencing to go up, but students are frustrated that the roadways are blocked off.

The fencing has blocked the pathways near the Technology Annex building and the MD Anderson Library. The area is part of a Central Plant expansion program and it is expected to be complete in Spring 2013.

The new fenced area is to surround a section of chilled piping that will be buried in the ground. The fencing has blocked pathways that student take to their classes.
